Sarah Hunter is a freelance photographer originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She studied Russian and Art History at Glasgow University and in 2002, she took the one-year documentary and photojournalism programme at the New York International Center of Photography.
Sarah has since worked as a photographer and media trainer, based for many years between Northern Ireland and Lebanon. She has worked on editorial and NGO assignments in the Middle East and Africa, focusing on conflict, humanitarian aid and climate change.
In 2019, she moved from Lebanon to Larnaca, Cyprus. Having a strong interest in humanitarian work through her photography, she recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Rights Law from the University of London.
